HAR Hosts Governor Rick Perry for Appraisal Reform Bill Signing
With HAR's central office as the setting, Governor Rick Perry signed two appraisal reform measures into law on July 9. House Bills 8 and 3613 will help slow the pace of increasing property appraisals, provide additional oversight for the appraisal process, and grant a total exemption for the homes of veterans who are disabled due to their service for our country.

HAR’S First Digital Media Summer Camp Hailed as a Huge Success
HAR Chair Vicki Fullerton played the role of head camp counselor, opening the program with a hearty whistle blow and segueing from presentation to presentation with drawings for door prizes.
A ballroom at the Hilton Post Oak Hotel in the Galleria area became an electronic campground on July 22, as nearly 300 HAR members turned out bright and early in comfy camping attire for HAR's first Digital Media Summer Camp.
