New Smoke Detectors Disclosures


Summary of Fire-Safety Disclosures
There are several new seller disclosure requirements which take effect on September 1, 2007. One area of new disclosures concerns broader, expanded disclosures for fire-safety equipment - including SMOKE DETECTORS.

There is also a new TAR Seller Disclosure Notice (already in print as of July 2, 2007) which includes the new statutory-required disclosures.

 The following summary and analysis will address the new fire-safety disclosures and potentially troubling issues surrounding the use and application of the new Seller Disclosure Notice.
