After Microsoft launched its eighth version of Internet Explorer (IE8), we found that it was incompatible with some of the Map Search features on HAR.com. We conducted a major overhaul of the application to improve its performance, overall functionality and compatibility issues.
Using Microsoft’s Bing technology, Map Search allows users to search for listings by performing polygon searches, displaying bird’s eye views, getting drive-by directions, and conducting a proximity search along with viewing live traffic. With the new enhancements, Map Search now offers:
- A more prominent “Advanced Search” feature
- Additional search options, like amenities, 5% price reduction search and foreclosure search
- Full integration with Open House Finder to view any open house on the map
- Paging capabilities in search results window
- Elimination of bugs associated with Internet Explorer 8 and extended JavaScript when coming from the ”Map it” link on each property detail page
Please take the time to become familiar with the Map Search tool on HAR.com. Soon it will also be available in Tempo MLS with additional REALTOR®-friendly features.
