Conrad Bering, Jr. was Realtor® of the Year 1972 and president of the Association in 1970. You might think he would have slowed down since then, but you would be wrong.
His commitment to the community has involved everything from serving as a trustee of the Protestant Episcopal Church Council of the Diocese of Texas for 15 years to serving on the Economic Development Committee of the Houston Chamber of Commerce. He has held leadership roles at both St. Francis Episcopal Church and Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church and as a trustee of Camp Allen Episcopal Church Camp and Conference Center.
Conrad served on the United Fund and was a director of the Houston Symphony Society for a number of years. He has also been active with the Kiwanis Club abd Key Club Committee.
“I knew John Wolf, and he was a good friend. He was so busy in the community and did so much that it is a humbling honor to receive this award named after him,” said Bering. “I also know all of the tremendous accomplishments of the people who have received this award before me so it is incomprehensible that I could be considered to be included among that group. They have all done so much for the City and the image of Realtors so I find those records very difficult to equal. It really is an amazing honor.”
We would all be well served to follow the lead of Conrad Bering, Jr., John E. Wolf Citizenship Cup Award recipient for 2007
